Well, it's been a while, but in a month Blizzard is releasing yet another expansion. Yes, it's not talked about much, but I wanted to know if anyone else has been playing the game, or is planning on doing so with the expansion.

...

Not talked about much?

Any MMO website has had almost nothing but WotLK news for months. With a little bit of WAR thrown in for variety.

But anyway. I have my preorder in. Barely missed getting a Collector's Edition. sad.gif

I'm excited.

Yeah, it's been everywhere, and it kind of makes me sick. The game really just isn't my cup of tea. Warhammer basically improved everything in WoW and then added more features. Plus it has a real universe which always makes things interesting. When you build off a franchise with that much history, there's always something more they can do. Not saying WoW sucks but if they want to keep saying that "they're the best," they're going to have to step up their game.

The 3.0.2 patch has made it feel like a whole new game. WoW, that is. And I wouldn't call the entire Warcraft history "nothing"... It's not quite as old as the Warhammer universe, but it's still a big, well written universe.

I still prefer beating up chickens and sheep with bats to Korean metal music.

Yeah, there were a few changes, and now with the new talent trees being available, makes it a bit different. With inscription being added makes herbalists (such as myself) rich quick because everyone's needing herbs now for more than just making potions.

And thanks to the achievements system, I've been making an abosolute fortune on the neutral auction houses selling horde pets.

Of those few of us that are here and actually were excited about the expansion, did anyone get it? Create a Death Knight yet? If so, what are your thoughts on the new character?

I got it. My main (Tauren Druid, resto normally, balance for leveling), is level 74.

And no, I haven't created a Death Knight yet. I don't know if I could go through Outland again. And my server is saturated with DKs. I'll make one eventually, but it'll be a while.

As a whole, I'm loving the expansion. It is, IMO, a hell of a lot better than "The Burning Crusade"

I have my death knight, but only got so far as level 58 and moving them to Hellfire Peninsula. I'm with Morphius though. Not sure if I can be bothered with Outland again just yet.

Still, Northrend is cool, and I have my paladin (retribution specced) up to level 72. I was rather peeved to discover you could not access Dalaran without either a mage or finishing a quest.
