Hey guys,

Good news - Prankzter is almost out and ready. It may have to go under several tests before the release date. Howeer, I would like beta testes. So, just let me know if you want to be a beta tester. As most of you know - this is a indivual program developement. So you guys may be asking ... "So, what's so great about Prankzter?"

Well, acouple of things actually!

New Features beat Maze Prank to Dust - That's what!

-Stealth Mode
-Lock Down Mode from Authorized Access.
-Fade in and Fade Out Effect.
-Hot Key to toggle Stealth Mode.
-Customize your own Prank Settings with Default Resource Images and Sounds or your own very Images or Sounds.
-Prank Effect Feature which will allow the user to take on special effects when it has been launched upon the victim.
- And more!

Here's the video - I'm not sure if I could post the embedded object but here's the link to my youtube channel. Give me feed back on what you'll like to see!

Thanks guys for all your support! You guys are the biggest contributors.

Sincerely,

Paul

Sounds like it is far from done if you keep saying things like "This is slow, this is not done yet, I could do this I guess" when you are trying to show it off.

Personally I think the program is kinda stupid and wouldn't pay anything for it. It might be something to kill some time or whatever, but I am not sure it is all that fun looking.

I hope you are doing this program for fun and to learn because there is probably no market for this program.

One thing I could tell from the video is that you really love this program and passionate about it. So much you sound like you are getting out of breath at times. But I wouldn't expect to make much money on this at all.

On a scale of 1 - 10...

Usefullness: 2
Professional looking: 6
Marketability: 2
Fun factor: 7
Room for improvement: 8

Good luck man! smile.gif

I would recommend not assuming that your audience knows what your product does. After watching the first minute of your video I figured it out, but someone who's never seen one of those type of things probably wouldn't have a clue. Also, these types of pranks are played out. I hate to say this since you obviously spent a lot of time and effort on it, but many of us who were tricked by this gag the first time were never tricked again. There were a boatload of these floating around via email about 2-3 years ago and I think that train as sailed. But I may be wrong. Who knows.

Hey

Thanks! The uniqueness about this program - I do believe that it's not like Prank Maze where the user is like playing this game and got this feeling -- okay, something is gonna pop up and go RAARR! The really good thing is that this, the victim could be typing an email- playing a game (maybe solitare), maybe even looking at some uh...well, let's not go there. Or it could be your bratty sister who talks about all about everyone's business typing a love letter to her boyfriend or what not then when they least expect it -- RARRRR! Holy, shit I just shit my self!

It's like being in a Haunted House - it's Dark, it's Scary and the least moment you expect...the boogy man comes out.

I do have to explain to the audience of my program's purpose though. However, right now I'm putting alot of shit on there.

So far I have a quicker fade in and fade out. Also, I just putted in a code that will remember your last seleciton of Lock Down Mode or Stealth mode. I'm in the middle of coding that right now.

So, it's entirely of it's own kind. Everyone have seen those programs that you either listen to music, play a game, or even maybe read some text or Click there and Rarr goes that less scary monster.

Other users suggested some things on the Previous versions of Prankzter but they're too malicious and highly annoying. How woudl you like a pop up message popping up like 500 times or a System Error or Blue Screen of Death. Yeah, I didn't think that would be so nice either. A user sends the program to McAfee or something and then they'll be Branding it as Malware or some shit.

Hope this clearifies anyone's thoughts or opiinions. smile.gif

Just to note : This program is not any way malicious or harmful to the PC. Plus, it probably fits in the Caffeine Lounge because it has no other pace for it. i don't think--I looked in the forums and this seems like an open discussion. Well, in this thread it's basically announcing the Product that I've been under developement on.

Sincerely,

Paul

Honestly, I don't think it's marketable. It's a good idea, and it does would shit a lot of people up~ but you've gotta remember, people who download it are only really gonna get one use out of it. Once they've made (example) their co-workers shit themselves silly, there's not much use for it again~ Like martyr2 said, it's only gonna get them once.

I like the GUI though, it's pretty professional looking, and I can see that you've put a lot of effort into it.

Overall, good job. While it's not really marketable, it's a good idea. You've done something different, and the masses of effort that you've put into this really shows through. icon_up.gif

Well, I could make it free but the thing is I need money quick. I'm negative in my bank and quit my day job. My SSI better not cut off - plus, web spydr might be more marketable but not sure yet.
