this is the absolute best site i have been on and the most active something else i do not know why but your site lags my internet really harshly because it takes 5 minutes for it to respond every now and then
and i have high speed internet.

Maybe its because so many people are on at the same time LOL.
my computer might not be able to handle it LOL
Great job guys this is the most relieble site i have ever used

I am glad to hear that. I would say that you computer is fine with the site though, it uses multiple servers located around various parts of the world to provide the fastest connection possible, though the servers may be having a hard time keeping up with the load at some points.

Additionally the browser will lag from time to time as this site allows flash ads and some of them tend to take up a lot of CPU and stuff while running.

Glad to hear that you enjoy the site and hope you stick around for a long while smile.gif

PS - this is not my site, Skyhawk owns it, but I have read a few topics by him talking about how he has done some of the stuff with the site.

It is most likely the flash ads. I have noticed a slow down with some of them. Especially when I browse from an account that is not registered (so that I get a bunch of flash ads at once, then it really gets laggy).

But since Chris (aka Skyhawk133) has to make some money to keep the site going, I put up with it. It is only noticeable sometimes depending on the ads.

Other than that, the site should be performing well the other 99% of the time. smile.gif

This site loads fine on my 486, but the flash ads to lag a bit on my 286, Tandy 1000, & Commodore 64.

Anyhow, I'm glad to hear that you got some much use out of this site. Any project in particular that you are/were working on?

I just ordered a new CISCO ASA firewall and made a couple tweaks to the config. I've noticed the occasional "hang up" where a page won't load. I'm thinking it's the software firewall, so hopefully the CISCO ASA will remove the load from that and let the requests through faster.
