Connect a database

hi. just want to know if whenever should i test and run my program in vb2008, do i nees to open the SQL server management studio and connect the database used by the program? how can i do it in a way that whenever i test my program in vb2008 i dont have to connect my databse using SQL maangement studio? thanks smile.gif

you connect to the database using code. it has nothing to do with what other applications are doing with the database. if you want it to connect, YOU have to write CODE to make it connect.
