PublicPIM has been an effort to create a database structure that would be capable of being used for any application using any database tool.
With the advent of RIAs becoming so popular we created the version we have been distributing using the Javeline framework over a MySQL DB and subsequently created another application called ppContact which is a MultiTabbed form used to input data to the same MySQL database using Zend Studio.
My goal with this Dream in Code forum is to discuss how this MySQL database could be used by any software capable of using MySQL or alternatively using the structure in other disciplines MSsql, DB2, Oracle and such so a common dialog can be used to discuss how the different elements in a Many-to-Many relationship can be joined to create an unlimitedely (if that is a word) scalable database.
