Ok, I posted something like this earlier, but I didn't know the full details and it was eventually washed away by the tides of other posts in the PHP forum.

I'm building out a system for a new start-up. The site is mostly designed, everything is good to go but their membership system has changed from an idea standpoint, so what I had planned to do is out he window. What I need (and they are willing to pay for a system pre-built) is to have a billing center that allows membership on a monthly basis, and auto-rebills every month unless they cancel. I can easily set-up a checkout with a CC processer out there for the one-time payments its just the auto-rebill where we run into problems. It would require storing of the CC, and then doing that same process monthly, which would have to be done manually since none of these companies offer a service like this.

So, does anyone know of a system out there that does this?

No one has been able to name one for us yet, (but they all want to custom build us one) so I don't trust them when they say it doesn't exist.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Will something like this work for you?

A Plus Bill

It works for linux or windows via cron jobs, supports auto billing and subscriptions, credit lists, account management, products and sales etc.

Edit: Oh and btw it has a demo link to try it out. Just need to login with demo/demo as the username/password.

If you don't necessarily need it through the web then I also have a site which lists tons of auto billing software and membership systems. Just let me know.

We just built something kind of like this for a client at work. It's an annual auto-invoicing system... but it doesn't seem to me that it should take too much to edit it for a monthly job. If it is something that might work, I'll see if I can't get my hands on the full code for you.

This looks good, do you know much more about it ? My main question is for the recurring billing if we have to have the payment pro system of pay-pal that does recurring billing or if it is just processed as a regular pay pal payment once monthly.... and how does that work, just the cron takes care of it and runs the price through pay pal?

i'll take that other link if you have it also. I'm gonna pass all of this info up to the guy I'm building this for and let him do some more research.

benign, thanks, i don't really need invoicing though, it needs to just be auto-behind the scenes, thanks though.
