Videos will (usually) be programming-related. Camtasia to do screen capture. I was thinking of creating some video snippets captured from a Sims 2 game play and use that instead of a talking head of me.

I actually wanted to use Vimeo, but they don't want to host game videos anymore. What I'm doing is categorised under machinima (and don't even constitute the bulk of the videos), which is allowed. I'm kind of iffy on that in case they change their definition.

The idea is to write a blog post with a short synopsis and a link to the video.

So recommendations?

Currently considering blip.tv, Viddler, YouTube and Google Video (is this related to YouTube?).

I am pretty sure that googl video adn youtube are the same thing (as google bought youtube) but with a different skin/name.

I would say that if you don't want to worry about what your videos should be classified as go with youtube, but I haven't played around with blip or viddler so I can't say for sure.

Yeah, I thought so too...

I'm hesitant on YouTube because the video picture quality isn't quite as good as the other sites. Right now, I'm considering the site's community and video quality. I'll do some more research... Thanks!

No doubts: youtube.com, and if don't like YouTube you can try metacafe.com .
