I have been a member of dream in code for a while now but have never posted for help I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to read or reply to my question.

Ok so long story short I am a student doing some work exp over the summer. The project I have been given is to create a piece of software for automating the testing of MCC's. The API's I need to gain control over come with ProfiCore and can be customised.

I have come across a little problem as follows.

I have visual studio 2005 and I am trying to import the .lib from ProfiCore (software for talking to drives) I have followed the instructions given here but to no avail http://www.dreamincode.net/forums/showtopic56815.htm I have added it to the list but I get this error "fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'pcapt_dll.obj'".

If there is anyone out there that has worked with Profibus, ProfiCore etc any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any hints or tips on how to get this project going would be greatly appriciated also as this is the first project of this type I have undertaken. I have to produce a specification first of all to see what elements of ProfiBus can be automated however I am pretty much stabbing in the dark at the moment and hoping if I can at least start calling on the API's available then the project will at least be off the ground.
