can someone help me answer these two questions please:

1) Briefly describe at least FIVE methods of causing havoc by unauthorised altering of memory using a buffer overflow.

2)Briefly describe at least THREE C++ functions, the use of which renders your program
vulnerable to buffer overrun attacks.

thanks alot smile.gif

I can give you two answers. They don't answer your posted questions but they do address other issues smile.gif

1. Read the big yellow box that says "BEFORE YOU POST!" where we ask that you avoid topic titles like "Some Help Pls"
2.I'm just taking a shot in the dark here but this sounds like homework?! If that is the case we are not going to do this for you!
Google is your friend, so is your text book. smile.gif icon_up.gif

As jjsaw pointed out, this sure sounds a lot like homework to me. Here at Dream.In.Code, it is in our rules to not do your homework for you. I guarantee if you were to use Google you would find answers to these questions smile.gif
