What are some of your favorite MMORPGs out there? I've played quite a bit of them, and now I'm just looking for some more, so any ideas?

The PvP thing in Chip and Dale's looked pretty wicked. Bet it must have taken like 3 years to develop biggrin.gif.

WoW, obviously, D&D Online is good. City of Heroes/Villains is pretty fun too, although it does get a little same-y after a while.

Personally though, the MMO I'm looking forward to is the Star Wars Galaxies Emulator. A bunch of coders got together when Sony released the Combat Upgrade into SWG and killed it. They have spent the last several years rebuilding the game as it was, away from Sony's interference. Still not finished, but coming along quite nicely.

Never really played any. I've never really understood what I would get out of:
1: Buying an expensive game
2: Paying monthly fees
3: Putting hours of my time into it

Gotta say Eve Online looks cool, but then goto 1;. smile.gif

Thes one of the good things about SW:G Emu, the only point you made above that applies is point 3, and even that is optional.

You will need a copy of the original game, but you can get a copy of that on ebay for pennies these days, there will be no monthly fee unless you choose to donate something towards the running of the servers, and if you really wanted, you could get away with playing only an hour a week.

on a separate note, Eve Online is ok, but it is not very helpful to new players - doesn't explain things very well. I had a 10-day trial between SWG and DDo. Floundered about for the first few days until I got talking to some rather helpful people. Once they gave me a few tips, the game made a lot more sense.
