for the noobs

From wikipedia
QUOTE
Geocaching is an outdoor activity that most often involves the use of a Global Positioning System ("GPS") receiver or traditional navigational techniques to find a "geocache" (or "cache") placed anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small, waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure", usually trinkets of little value. Participants are called geocachers.

You with a group, or did you get your own equipt? If so what are you using?

Just went out with skyhawk and dark nexus, was a lot of fun, we found quite a few cleverly hidden micro caches.

What kinds of prizes did you find ? they are supposed to have some kind of object and you supposed to leave one behind no ?

Now that I have GPS for my laptop I've thought about checking this out... Maybe I will when it get's warmer.

Videege picked up a Lance Armstrong bracelet, Justin and I found a set of red mardi gras beads, and in the third one there wasn't anything we wanted, we left a golf tee.

I swear I hate all these people using GPS now-a-days. Every day my unit gets 1ms slower because of all these people.
