I am new to using obfuscation. I used Dotfuscator Community Edition and it runs fine with the sample provided but when I add an exe file of my own utility in the trigger window, it shows an error, ''Invalid Assembly : E:\Emailer.exe. The format of the file 'Emailer.exe' is invalid."

What am I missing?
Please reply ASAP..

Maybe you should ask this Question to the people who developed Dotfuscator. This is a piece of software developed and managed by PreEmptive Solutions and is not a normal everyday application used by most developers.

Only .NET assemblies can be ofbuscated with Dotfuscator, like VB .NET and C#.

Basically what is does is changing your variable and object names with unreadable text, while your program will still work.

So i don't know in what language you made Emailer.exe in, but it must be a .NET language.

Thanks for your responses.

I have made Emailer.exe using C#.Net, and i know what an obfuscator does in general and what the dotfuscator does in particular but don't know how to resolve this error.
