Hi,

I was bored last night and was thinking "Damn i hate keep opening notepad". So i got me a lemsip (Cant swallow tablets and it gets rid of a headache smile.gif ) and lay down in bed with my laptop. I originaly had a vision of embeding notepad onto the desktop. But after googling, people only made programs to paste text onto desktop etc.

Yes you may wonder "What the hell is this doing in HTML/CSS" but i had a little brainstorm.

No is not necessarily a good idea and not the nicest of looking but i got an idea smile.gif

You can set HTML files as a desktop image did you know smile.gif, so i called upon my HTML knowledge.

Well i first had my old wallpaper as "Background=" but the text on my desktop icons had white backgrounds (not nice).

So i settled for a blank black background.

Only problem i find at the min is you cant save but its good just for writing notes.

Ya, I have done something like that (though I preffer to have a bg image) so I put it off to the right sid eof th escreen and allowed it to contain html and be updated on the fly:

There is a link to my desktop image. The "No COntent" text on the right can be updated to contain whatever I want it to on the fly without reloading.

I know what you mean by annoying not being able to save, I have actually been thinking about just adding some JS cookies to the app and having it "save" that way. Active desktop's arevery useful, and assuming that everything works well, I will have a nice updated version for next month (maybe the same bg image, but different UI).
