I'm using SQL Server 2005 Express Edition for a project, and want to allow certain users access to a table while keeping others public. I haven't found a way to do this, other than through the front-end. I would like to have it locked at the server level, just because I don't trust my program to be bug free.

I have also toyed with the idea of putting the information in a separate database but I need to be able to link it in the main database like you would with foreign keys. Only I still want certain users to be able to view that information.

The easiest way to do this may just be look things up by the common keys, but it seems that there has to be a better way.
