R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. This release includes: addition checks against user error in poly(), faster drawing of continguous lines using the quartz() device, the deprecation of the use of unserialize() on character strings, the deprecation of embedded nul characters in strings, bug fixes, and other changes.
