If you are wanting someone to make a template (design and coded) for you I am pretty sure that most people charge... sorry, but if you are wanting free stuff google if your best bet.

I think the best way to start for a beginner is to find a template with a layout similar to what you want, ignoring the graphics, as long as it is compatible with your host. Basically that means the number of sidebar columns, their placement and header style.

Then you can dig into the css and html and change colors, header and other graphics to suit your taste.

I would look for a template by searching for free CSS templates and find one you like and modify the CSS/HTML and images to your liking. biggrin.gif That should get you something good, I recommend steves-templates.com but theirs a lot of good websites.

If you're looking for a clean no hassle template, check out Google's page creator, they seem to have a good set up if you're looking for something to play around with.
