I want to learn how to make a browser based game. I am the owner of www.CrisisX.com and I have knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS and things like. I have some questions:

- Is it possible to make a simple browser based game with ECMAScript?

- Are there any good tutorials on making browser based games?

Thanks for reading.

Regards, CrisisX

It's not possible to make a browser based game that actually stores data about the player using only ECMAScript.

Oh. Then are there any tutorials that could teach me how to make those games?

I'm a bit biased, because I do a lot of writing there - but http://buildingbrowsergames.com is aiming at providing a tutorial(or two) on how to build a browsergame from start to finish.

Yeah, I saw that in your signature and click it. Well then when I looked at the PHP registration page I didn't understand much. Think you could help me? wub.gif

What didn't you understand? I try to write as clearly as possible, so if there's anything that needs more clarification just let me know.

Ah - in that case, you might want to read through some tutorials on getting up and running with PHP/MySQL before you dig into any of the browsergames tutorials.
