server 2003 r2, cannot connect

Hi people, I can connect to my server through the remote desktop fine, but cannot connect to it through my network places. i am runninig windows xp proffesional sp2

What kind of messages are you getting? The reason you can through RDC is with RDC you provide logon credentials

Is this shared out via Domain or Workgroup credentials? Which account (admin/user) are you signing onto the server via remote desktop? Is the user account on both machines?
