OK, I'm pretty new to all of this, but I'm looking for constructive criticism.

Which of the following two designs do you think is best and why?

To me, the first one looks better. The colors jump out more and it actually looks like it takes more skill to create than the second.

I too would say the first one. It is new and everything for one, but it also has nicer colors so you can tell things apart easier. You have also gotten better with your C4D or brush (on the side), which adds to the depth of the overall image.

Okay, that would be 2 posts that are exactly the same, and not having anything to do with the thread in which they were posted. Mod/ admin please do something.

(Other post: http://www.dreamincode.net/forums/index.ph...st&p=370540 )

@Ovi Dogar - Assuming that you are human, please don't spam up people's threads. It is easy enough to create your own, again, that is assuming you are human, and don't (for instance) really want to get banned since you already are on your way to bannage.

The first one looks better, but design isn't necessarily about what "looks good".
What are you trying to communicate? what are these for?

I literally just started this kinda stuff... I just want to make a few attractive graphics for people's signatures. Those are both mine, but I've done a few more for other people now smile.gif

PhotoShop CS3, but it's pretty expensive wink.gif

A free alternative is the GIMP

Agreed first one is better.

I think I like the first one better. For one thing, you have it breaking the original boundaries you set for it by breaking out of the box. The colors a much brighter if that's the look you're going for. On the second one, it has a much darker appeal to it and portrays a totally different feeling. Its more boxed in and not as dynamic I guess I would say.

Not bad! icon_up.gif
