Here's what I need. I use an old (classic) template for my blog at Blogger.com.On the right, there's a sidebar full with links. I need some scrolling menu script (probably Java can do that?), to short the long lists with links.

Since I cannot figure out how to write it, I'm asking for your help.

Thank you.

OK, actually, you'd probably be a lot better off using JavaScript.

You'll probably want to put the list inside a div, and that one inside a div.

Then you can set the outside grid's style to have overflow hidden.

Then you just use a timer to scroll the stuff.

There are also a million other ways to do it.

If I'm udnerstanding correctly, you want a scrolling div on the side of your website to contain all your links so that they aren't all displayed at the same time?

Initially, I would advise against it for the sake of your readers. If you are going to have links, you are going to want to make them as easily accessible possible. Also, you have enough blogs on your site where a long side-bar isn't going to be bad. It fills up the page so the viewer doesn't feel alone.

If you still wish to proceed, however, use a css overflow.

Thanks Fygar. You're probably right about the links. Scrolling would make many of the "invisible", and I'm note sure how much from the readers would like to scroll for a link. I wouldn't, in most of the cases.

Anyway, thanks about the link, at least I can learn how to do the overflow. smile.gif
