Are there any site's that allow you to have a free domain name(not a sub domain like XXX.site.com or www.site.com/XXX)? I doubt it but no harm in asking.

There're some hosting companies that'll give you a free domain name when you purchase a hosting plan. I believe GoDaddy is one such company.

Why do you want a free domain? They are like $2.

No free sub domains. The only way to get a free domain is with purchasing other services, & then you are spending more than you would for just the domain.

Sorry.

You can always use DynDNS or some other free domain service. Of course, it's just a forward, and I don't think that you can manipulate it as much as you want, but I've registered max302.ath.cx with them for my home server stuff, and it works fine.

You can sign up at www.ezyrewards.com and save up enough points to get one. I have gotten a free one from there.

GoDaddy has deals on like .info domains all the time, not long ago I picked up a bunch of .info's for 99 cents each.

no dont doupt it! tongue.gif
there are so many sites that will give you free space for hosting and free subdomain names (e.g www.freewebs.com).

You could also try to redirect your url (e.g www.dot.tk) which will make your website for example from www.freewebs.com/yoursite to www.yoursite.tk

However they all add banners or popups (i had tk for a year without any advertisments though).

Hope i helped!

You can visit www.freedomain.co.nr, there domain names all end in co.nr, which is about as close to a free domain name as you can get. You will still need to host it elsewhere, and they require you to put there logo on your pages. check it out

.za.net .za.org .eu are all free but you still need a DNS server which your web host is incredibly likely to have.
