hah this is going to take a while. i can't help you learn something without you providing some specificity regarding what you need. saying you need a default skinny layout for myspace doesn't help me because i don't even know what that means because i don't use it (assuming it's terminology related to it). so break down what you want to accomplish PHYSICALLY and we can tackle it one step at a time.

ask a better question while your at it. I doubt anyone who has gone to the trouble to create something similar to the layout you are looking for is just going to hand it over. Why don't you attempt it then we'll help you iron out the bugs.

i'm soo sorry about all the hassle! and being vague. i dont know much about css/html. and i've only made my own layouts by layout generators. so what a default layout is that for the background you can have whatever you like. but for the body is it the iconic myspace body, the white tables, the blue navigation bar. can i show you an example?

true and good point. i wouldn't want that. hmm tht's the problem. i have no idea how to make the body a default. i can make a regular layout. but i'll give it a shot. how would i show you the end product here?

ok, since no one here can teach you programming, i suggest one of three things: a) get a book, cool.gif take a course in web development, c) copy the code from that lyts dude and mod it to your liking then understand the code that you copied, understand why it did what it did, learn the syntaxes and attempt it for yourself. for myspace it isn't worth it, if you're serious about programming for other reasons, then i'd suggest doing that, if your only interest is myspace then use a generator

damnit i wanted that to say a ), not a stupid ass smiley

hmm thank you very much for the suggestions! and so far i've done choice c and i believe me i'm having a hard time. i understand most of it, but i still need to locate that part. i really am serious about programming so i guess every beginner must start somewhere, and for me, it's probably buying a book. i have one last question. what is the difference to html and javascript?

lol its ok.

HTML is a language used to create web pages where javascript is a program language that you embed into HTML pages for additional functionality or implementations
